On this late summer Saturday afternoon Pacific Unitarian will host a half-day parking lot camp. We will host events for all ages. From storytelling groups to canyon hikes, crafts, games, adult discussion groups, and a bouncy house. This afternoon-into-evening event (that could, if plans twist, possibly turn into a sleepover) will be a mix of structured and unstructured time. A time when ideally the event unites Pacific Unitarian with Pacific Sage Preschool. We will probably close the evening with a storytelling festival that follows a Patio Tailgate Dinner Party. Who smells smores? I do! Who knows, likely we will show a movie from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm on our sanctuary projector. Most importantly, work to save the date for this Saturday afternoon in late August. We will work to make the whole campus, including the parking lot, a safe, suburban-style church tailgate party/church gathering for a chance for the Pacific Sage Preschool and Pacific Unitarian Church communities to mix a little.
Come join the fun! If you’d like to volunteer to lead an activity for kids and/or adults, please contact Janet Kissner at
