General Assembly: The Unitarian Universalist Association’s Annual Meeting

June 21-25, 2023 

Live in Pittsburgh, or Virtually from Anywhere!

General Assembly is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists, where we conduct business of the Association, explore the theological underpinnings of our faith, and lean fully into our mission and principles.

General Assembly 2023 will be a multiplatform event, with registration options for in-person and/or virtual participation. In-person registration includes access to events scheduled to take place in Pittsburgh, as well as everything available to virtual registrants. Full virtual registration includes access to the GA app, as well as all on-demand programming, live webinars, and live-streamed events. Voting Delegates can register as virtual participants!

REPRESENT Pacific Unitarian at GA!  

What’s on the table in 2023?  Preliminary vote on the Article 2 proposed Amendment?  Presidential Election?  Witness Statements?  

Our congregation has worked so hard to make sure the voice of the people is heard during recent state and national elections.  Let’s step up and let Pacific Unitarian be heard at GA!  

Pacific Unitarian can register 3 Voting Delegates at GA this year.  The General Sessions are scheduled on June 21 and June 26 (opening and closing) from 4:30-9:00 p.m., and June 22-24, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Time to vote extends past the close of each session, so you’ll have ample time to consider the information presented, or to consult with your congregation!

Every congregation decides how to select member delegates and whether or not it will instruct delegates how to vote. (Hmm, do we vote our individual opinions, or vote with our congregation.)  The relationship between a congregation and its delegates is determined by the congregation, not the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA).

Congregations may also designate members of the congregation to serve as alternate member delegates to take the place of member delegates at GA, if needed.

All delegates must be voting members of the congregation. Please email the board@pacificunitarian.org if you serve in this important capacity.
