More than 60 percent of the members of our community are women. Roughly two thirds of that 60 percent are mothers. On this Sunday, we turn over the pulpit to the experts on the subject – our own member mothers who want to talk about the hardest, most poorly paid, but rumored to be the most fulfilling job in the world.

Note – For those who did not get a chance to participate in or be present for this service, Betty Paieda has suggested that we might build a collection of stories about our mothers that we could gather and eventually all share. I love this idea. If you are inclined and have or wish to write a one- to three-page piece about your mother, you can e-mail, snail-mail, or simply bring those written pieces to me (Steve) at church. If this effort gathers enough interest, perhaps we would publish that collection and/or make them available on our website.
