At a time when DEI has been vilified, and Christian nationalism masquerading as religion dominates the headlines, many people of faith are reclaiming and reimagining their traditions as forces for liberation, justice, and compassion for all.

UCLA Oncology Chaplain and popular guest speaker, Michael Eselun, will look at what might be “the wheels” on that suitcase that we drag around. What are the ways we can make it all a little easier to maneuver and manage—particularly in these uncertain and challenging times?

There is an oft-repeated statistic that more people today are spiritual but not religious. This group, also known as the “Nones” is actually a target audience for UU congregations. Pastor Joshua will explore what spirituality means – to him at least.
