Spring has sprung and the Long Beach Pride Parade is coming soon. This years theme is "Viva La Vida." We always have a great time, but this year's event can be made better by you.  Come join us!

The parade is on Sunday, May 21 and starts at 10:30. We are renting a truck again, so those with mobility issues can join in the fun.

We'll have a table set up each week on the patio starting this Sunday for sign ups. You can also email [email protected]

If you have any questions, please drop by the table on Sunday or you can call either Brad Shreve or Maurice Chevalier. Our numbers are in the church directory.

Earth Day Expo and Interfaith Service

Expo 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Worship at 4:00 pm
Community Meal at 5:00 pm

South Coast Interfaith Council (SCIC) and Garden Church invite you to this Earth Day Expo and Interfaith Service at Garden Church, 429 West 6th Street, San Pedro, 90773.  All are welcome. Reverend Ann Woofenden preaching. For more information gardenchurchsp.org; RSVP to [email protected].

A note about the host church: Rooted in the Christian tradition and Swedenborgian theology, the Garden Church provides a living experience of encountering the Divine in community, scripture, nature, and the life of useful service, and being the church together on multiple levels. Through worshiping, working and learning together, feeding the hungry, and addressing the needs of the local community, this church is living sanctuary for all who seek a place to grow, to love and be loved, and to belong. Creating a place of spiritual community where God’s love is made visible as people are fed in body, mind, and spirit.

Playing in the Sage...

“This is the real secret of life -- to be completely engaged with what you are doing in the here and now. And instead of calling it work, realize it is play.”
---Alan W. Watts

Saturday, April 1, 2017 marks my two-year anniversary as Creatrix, Director/Master Collaborator and Head Mischief & Magic Maker at Pacific Sage Preschool.

On behalf of myself, all the friends, their families and the community, I want to thank PUC, and my Pacific Sage Council for such incredible trust and support to make this early learning center happen.

It has truly been a time and a place “…for friends, to grow, and for wonder”.

Warmly,
Sylvia
