Playing in the Sage…
“To really change the world, we have to help people change the way they see things. Global betterment is a mental process, not one that requires huge sums of money or a high level of authority. Change has to be psychological. So if you want to see real change, stay persistent in educating humanity on how similar we all are than different. Don't only strive to be the change you want to see in the world, but also help all those around you see the world through commonalities of the heart so that they would want to change with you. This is how humanity will evolve to become better. This is how you can change the world. The language of the heart is mankind's main common language.”
---Suzy Kassem, Rise Up and Salute the Sun: The Writings of Suzy Kassem
Don’t think for a second, the children have not noticed the sadness, anger and anxiousness of the big people in their lives. Talking about it and brainstorming ways to make it better, the children suggest: go some where, or take a rest and get something yummy to eat…with a friend!
Warmly,
Sylvia

Be an Usher Coordinator and be a critical part of PUC's Welcoming Team. You don't need much more than a friendly smile. Our Usher Coordinator ensures we have enough ushers to staff each of the four Sundays each month, and trains new ushers that come on board. We currently have an outstanding team and all positions are filled.
You can train a new usher quickly and easily on one Sunday morning and there's an easy to read duties sheet that is used as a reminder of what needs to be done.
Anyone interested please contact Brad Shreve. His phone number and email are in the church directory, or you can simply tap on his shoulder on Sunday mornings.

Did You Know....You can contribute $$$ to PUC when shopping at Ralphs? Go to www.ralphs.com and register choosing Pacific Unitarian Church as your non-profit community organization. Yearly registration started in September, so if you haven't registered/renewed since September, you are not currently participating in Ralphs Community Contribution Program. Scan bar letters are available in the office for those who prefer to register by taking this letter into Ralphs when shopping and syncing up their Ralphs Card. It doesn’t cost you anything. Ralphs gives PUC a percentage of what you spend there.
