The Social Justice Committee knows that many at Pacific Unitarian are eager to support social justice issues in and around Los Angeles. Please commit to participating in this once-a-year event (soon to be monthly) taking place in LA on Friday, December 16, 2022 from 11am – 3pm.  There will be food, music, dancing and booths that provide a place like home to our unhoused neighbors such as showers, toys for kids, new clothing, haircuts, food and grooming for pets, and so much more.  This is an event that is not to be missed!  Shannon Morton (#Blackwomenlead) volunteered her time to be at Pacific Unitarian on Juneteenth, and we want to support her by gathering volunteers to join this event.  You can simply come and socialize and eat, or get behind a booth and help out with anything you want.   Text Kimberly at 323-877-4123 or email Jabbar Stroud here to RSVP and let us know if you will come. Come for all or part of it. We will get you there.

A Place Like Home event will take over a whole church parking lot and fill it with mobile shower and laundry vans, food trucks, barbers, mobile pet groomers, hygiene kits, new clothing, the sound of music, and the smell of fresh coffee being brewed. We will provide tables and chairs so everyone can sit down and take a much needed break.
