CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Los Angeles is a group that mobilizes community volunteers to advocate for children who have experienced abuse and neglect within the foster care system.  CASA’s vision is an LA in which every child in the welfare system has an advocate and the opportunity to thrive.  Frank Adams, an active new member of the church, has brought to us this opportunity to be of service in the lives of young people.  CASA’s mission fits well with our church’s principle that honors the “worth and dignity of each human being” and a place filled with stable adults.  If you have any interest in being involved, take a look at the video link below. Rev. Steve would love to see us pull together a group of people willing to step up as volunteers for at-risk kids.
