All our welcome to come drop in on our spiritual memoir writing group. Participants who attend should be prepared to share a 1 to 2 page (1-4 minute) personal piece on the topics listed below. All level of writers are welcome to come. This is more about sharing our experiences than it is about the deftness of our literary gifts. Come.
Jan 8th, 2020 Over my head. Share your encounter with a daunting experience you were not physically or emotionally prepared for.
Feb 12th, 2020 Unlikely sources of wisdom: Emerson suggests that insight and wisdom are spread about like pennies. Today we invite you to describe a lesson or lessons you have learned from surprising or unlikely sources.
March 17th, 2020 Disaster Narrowly Averted: Writers are asked to describe a serious or comic moment in which an embarrassment, social disaster, or comic tragedy nearly occurred but was because of luck, fate, or quick wits avoided.
April 8th, 2020 A Creative Act: Tell a story about something you created or produced that you took pride in. Please explain the process for producing your source of pride, and the meaning of the created product for you.
May 13th, 2020 Your Father: Provide a short bio, personality profile, and/or story that reveal the nature of your Dad, and or primary male role-model.
June 10th, 2020 The Sacred Meets the Profane: Either share an experience you have had where a sacred act, location, or time of life had a very profane or practical event attached to it. This may be real, or imaginary.

August 12th, 2020 Ripped from your Travel Journey: Share with your fellow writers a memorable moment from a journey had either near or far.
September 9th, 2020 Running Late: They say tragedy plus time equals comedy. In that spirit, tell us a story of a time you were running late.
October 14th, 2020 “Boy that was a close call:” Share with the group a moment in your life when you had an experience when it might have gone badly. Share with us a near death experience.
November 11th, 2020 Write a Prayer: Pull the filters off the tradition and write a prayer. Feel free to express gratitude, want, and even anger. Your prayer may be confessional, or a petition. To whom or where this prayer is addressed can be clearly present or not.
December 9th, 2020 Examining Our Life: Look around at the life path. Reflect on both or one of the major choices you have made and the path or paths it has left you with.
